Central University of Punjab Bathinda (CUPB) has signed an MoU with the University of Worcester, the UK for encouraging academic cooperation in their schools of education. MoU’s objective is promoting collaboration when it comes to project proposals, joint research, student/faculty exchange programs and for sharing educational materials.

The MoU was signed between Prof Jaswinder K Dhillon, Professor of Education, University of Worcester and CUPB Vice-Chancellor, Prof RK Kohli. Prof SK Bawa, CUPB, Department of Education Head said that as per the objective of the MoU, experts of both these universities will mentor each other when it comes to designing the course curriculum which in turn, will lead to promoting the internalisation of curricular in higher education.

CUPB’s vision is to enhance the standards of teaching, and research to the global level of excellence. He further said this association is an important step along with other initiatives of the university, which will further help the university realise its vision. Faculty members of the department of education were also present at the time of the signing of the MoU. CUPB was set up in 2009 along with other new central universities. It is the youngest university to get a position in the top 100 institutions in the university category and first among the new central universities as per the MHRD’s NIRF Ranking 2019. CUPB has 31 departments spread over 12 schools in Sciences, Humanities, Laws and Social Science, Technology etc.
