Centralised Admission Process at Lucknow University to Begin from March 20

The centralised admission process at Lucknow University for the academic session 2017-18 will commence from March 20, 2017. The varsity has been conducting counselling through the centralised admission cell for the first time. Through this process, the varsity will hold admission to all the courses in online mode and uniform admission process will be followed.

Initially, Lucknow University will begin the online application process for MBA course on March 20, 2017. One of the officials of the varsity revealed that the date is tentative and expected to be changed. The application process for BBA course is expected to commence on March 27, 2017, followed by B.Sc, B.Com and B.A courses on April 3, 2017. This year, Lucknow University is going to conduct entrance examination for all postgraduate and undergraduate courses.

For carrying the centralised admission process, the varsity has appointed Prof. Anil Mishra of Chemistry Department as the Coordinator. He explained that the centralised admission process would help the university in maintaining and retrieving the uniform admission data of the students. The varsity can access the data whenever required. The application process will start from March 20, 2017, and the admission process will be in online mode.

S.P. Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Lucknow University revealed that the varsity has decided to reduce the number of courses that are offered in Bachelor of Arts (BA). The number of combinations has been reduced in BA course due to less enrollment. However, the number of seats offered in B.Com course has been increased due to more demand from the students.
