In a move to reach IIT- aspirants belonging to the remote and inaccessible areas, Central Government is going to launch free online course materials for the students preparing for IIT-JEE on 15 August.
Academician, teachers, and expert feel that the materials are definitely going to help the students from the marginal background and remote areas. These materials will be available in different form like -text, videos on youtube, practice tests and interaction with the experts.
All the major cities of the country have coaching institutes for IIT-JEE but there are no such facilities for the small town and not to speak rural areas.

"The move on the part of Central Government is really good. But the quality of the resources need to be examined while preparing for such tough and important examination,” said a top faculty from TIME Pvt Ltd- the premier coaching institute.
“But there are several disadvantages also with it. Students will not get the one to one interaction with the teachers and peers, lose the class ambience, clarify the doubts, take practice session and above all counselling from the expert coach,” said another faculty member.

This may help the students of Government schools. But it would definitely bring more IIT aspirants to the take the examination since these days internet have good penetration in rural areas also.
But before the centre coming to provide the free online materials, already some private players are in the market with their study materials.

In the expert committee members of centre there are several prominent people- like experts from IIT, teachers from CBSE, Kendriya Vidyalaya and senior faculties from the coaching institutes and they would help in preparing the coaching materials.
