CET Cell Fails to Conduct Law CET in Mumbai Successfully

In Mumbai, the very first Law common entrance exam was conducted this year by the CET cell i.e. Common Entrance Test Cell but it was not exactly a success as the classes will not be starting before October’ 16.

The result of common entrance exam was announced on 29th June’ 16 but the option for selecting a college is still not available. The students who were expecting to start three years or five years LLB course by now are very disappointed and are second guessing their idea of taking admission into law . The merit list was supposed to be announced a month ago.

Following are the main reasons for loitering given by the CET cell:

  • Registration of colleges and their verification
  • Appointment of agency for online admissions

Another reason for the delay is the lawsuits against CET filed by the students saying that students were not given enough time to prepare their best and there was no clarity on the exam syllabus.

A CET official said that the BCI short for Bar Council of India has not yet submitted the list of colleges that are affiliated with them. In response to this, the council said that the list will be presented to CET by 6th August’ 16. CET plans to create an agenda so that next year, everything takes places smoothly and nicely.

Are you feeling lost and unsure about what career path to take after completing 12th standard?

Say goodbye to confusion and hello to a bright future!
