Dr Saurav Pal, Former Director of National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, and current Professor of Chemistry at IIT Bombay is soon going to visit Gauhati University to deliver a series of lectures in the university.
It is said that Dr Pal will be delivering the 17th Prof RK Barua Memorial Lecture on May 24 at Phanidhar Datta Seminar Hall, Gauhati University and deliver a polular lecture before higher secondary level students on May 25 at the renowned Cotton College of the city.
Many students as well as faculty members are expected to attend the programme and be a part of it. The programme will be organised by the Chemistry Department in association with the Chemical Society of the Cotton College as part of an outreach programme of the university, sources said.
Dr Pal will also be delivering the key-note lecture at a national seminar on the topic ‘Emerging trends in Chemical Sciences’ which is to be held on May 27 at the premises of Gauhati University.
The seminar will witness participants from all over the country with professors, academicians and faculty members from prestigious universities and colleges of the country. Many important topics are to be addressed and highlighted in the national seminar.
