Reputed Car manufacturing company Chevrolet conducted placement drive at George Engineering College on 10-May-2016. The company officials were welcomed in a grand manner by the college management and students. The placement drive was conducted for final year Mechanical Engineering and Electronics students of the college. The placement drive was inaugurated by college correspondent, A. Sateesh. The company officials gave introduction about the company and detailed the process of interview.
Three rounds of interview were conducted which included a preliminary written test related to the subject, technical round and face to face interview. The placement drive received a grand response as a total number of 80 students attended the interviews. Out of them 8 students got placed in the final round of interview. 5 students from Mechanical Engineering and 3 students from Electronics got placed. The company officials congratulated the students and gave them offer letters. The students are selected at annual package of Rs. 3,00,000.
College correspondent, A. Sateesh said , “The college has received a mile stone of assuring maximum placements. A total number of 42/60 students of mechanical engineering secured jobs in the campus placements which were conducted in the academic year 2015-2016. Recently Civil engineering students of the college secured jobs in placement drive conducted by Bricmore”. College principal, Dr. Eshwar congratulated the students.
Students thanked the college management and faculty for being supportive.
