For the Chhattisgarh Board Exams 2022 to begin from 02 March 2022, around 6.83 lakh students have registered from both the classes of 10th and 12th. Before the release of the CGBSE Date Sheet for Class 10 and Class 12 in December 2021, the board had issued a total of six assignments for the respective classes since August 2021. The assignments were given as one assignment per month per subject.
Submission of two of these assignments prior to board examinations is made mandatory by the CGBSE authorities. Regarding the issue, V. K. Goyal, CGBSE secretary, said that if a student fails to achieve so, he/she/they will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

Last year when the pandemic situation didn’t permit, the final result was declared based on these assignments. In addition to this, Class 12 students had to give online exams as well. Although this year the exams are set to be conducted offline, this decision may vary as per the COVID-19 cases in the state. If they turn out to be low, the exams will be conducted; otherwise, last year will repeat itself i.e., marks will be awarded based on the assignments.
CGBSE has cut down the syllabus by 30% for the academic year of 2021-22 in view that the schools were closed throughout the year. Students should contact their respective schools for the deadline of the assignment submission. For now, CGBSE intends to conduct the exams offline in one shift per day from 09.15 a.m. to 12.15 a.m.
