Christian Medical College of Ludhiana has decided to consider only NEET score for admission and to not conduct their entrance examination. College dropped the idea of conducting entrance examination because Supreme Court said that NEET is the only way to get admission into medical and dental colleges.
NEET is the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test and it was formerly known as AIPMT i.e. All India Pre-Medical Test. NEET was conducted in two phases, NEET phase I was conducted on 1st May’ 16 and phase II was conducted on 24th July’ 16. The result of both the phases of NEET will be declared on 17th August’ 16 so, the college has asked the students to submit the result before 22nd August’ 16.
College made the announcement through their official website, the college has 75 medical seats, 40 dental seats and 50 percent of them are reserved for the Christian minority. General category students will be admitted on the basis of their NEET score but the minority students will have to give the bible test which is on 28th August’ 16.
Arvind Goyal who is a pre-medical test trainer appreciated the decision of college and has asked the Medical Council of India and Union Health Ministry to ban all the colleges which are conducting their entrance exams.
