The Civil Engineering department of Gudlavalleru Engineering College Vijaywada celebrated its 6 th Anniversary at college auditorium on March 29, 2016 . The Chief Guest for the celebrations was Dr. Raju, Director, SRK College of Engineering . The celebrations were inaugurated by the Chief Guest by lightening the lamp along with the HOD of Civil Department, Dr. Kondanda Rao.
Addressing the students the Chief Guest said, “Students have to develop practical approach of learning especially in Civil Engineering. Learning is a continuous process which doesn’t have an end. Students have to achieve their goals bravely by facing all the hurdles. Students should have an idea about the master plan and construction of new capital Amaravati. As future civil engineers it is their responsibility to build a capital which is traffic free”.
Prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest to the outstanding students of Civil Engineering department. Special cash prize was awarded to the meritorious student of the department. Cultural programs followed later where students enthralled audience with their dazzling dance performances, skits and fashion show.
