Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE board exams will most probably start after March 8. The schedule is expected to move forward by a week due to the upcoming elections. The date mentioned above has been set on a hear-say basis.

According to reports, elections will be held in five states early in 2017. These states include Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Manipur. The Election Commission has announced that the votes for these states will be counted on March 11.
In the previous elections, various CBSE schools have been used as elections booths and same trend might be followed this year as well. As a result, the schools will not be free to conduct board exams.
In 2016, class 10 CBSE board exams had started from March 1 and continued till March 28, whereas Class 12 CBSE Board exams had commenced from March 1 and continued till April 22.
Date sheet for class 10 and 12 UP Board exam 2017 will also be released soon. Students appearing for UP Board exams will be able to check the updates on the official website of the board.

Among other CBSE updates, the board has brought back the no-objection certificate (NOC) rule for the schools that wish to be affiliated to CBSE. The board has also made the class 10 board examinations mandatory for all students. Candidates can check the official website of CBSE for more updates.
