JEE Advanced 2022 official information brochure and exam dates have been released. As per the information brochure of the exam, there has been a one-time relaxation given to the candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2022 . Candidates who appeared for the class 12 exam in 2020 and failed to appear for the 2021 JEE Advanced exam despite the form filling can register for the 2022 exam. Similarly, candidates who had passed Class 12 in 2021 and did not appear for JEE Advanced despite registering for the exam can also fill out the form for the 2022 exam. Appearing for JEE Main 2022 is not mandatory for these candidates.

Candidates who have appeared in the class 12 exam or any other equivalent examination, registered for JEE Advanced in 2021, but did not appear for the exam in 2021 for both paper 1 as well as paper 2, can appear directly for JEE Advanced 2022. To appear for JEE Advanced 2022, the candidates have to fill in the application form for 2022 and pay the fees accordingly. These candidates will; be considered as extra candidates and not the total of the candidates of 2022.

Therefore the candidates should check the eligibility criteria before applying for JEE Advanced 2022. This measure is taken only for the candidates who have appeared in the class 12th exam for the first time in 2020. Candidates who passed Class 12 before 2020 will not be allowed for JEE Advanced 2022.
Another relaxation has been given to the students who have appeared for the first time in class 12th in 2020. Due to the pandemic, the authority has come up with these measures. This year, top 2,50,000 candidates of JEE Main will be declared eligible for JEE Advanced.
