Here are the important tips that will not only save you time in solving this section but also considerably improve your score:
1. Reading Comprehension
It appears a better option to directly jump to the questions and then find the relevant answer in the given paragraph one by one. However, it is more likely to consume a greater amount of time than reading the comprehension first. Moreover, due to the tricky nature of the questions, a lesser understanding of the given paragraphs will lead to answering the questions wrongly.
Therefore, it is advised to first read the passage, get an understanding of it, and then attempt the questions.
2. Revise synonyms, antonyms, and figures of speech
A few questions on synonyms/antonyms are expected to be asked and at least one question on a figure of speech. While answers to other questions are mainly found in the understanding of the passage, these are the questions where candidates must possess extra knowledge to answer. Therefore, the candidate must be well-versed in these topics.

3. Solve sample papers and previous years’ papers
An extremely efficient way to check your preparation and improve it is to solve CLAT 2023 sample papers. Candidates can download the sample papers directly from their official website login. It is also important to put on a timer while solving these papers to improve your solving speed as well. Try to do the English section in less than 30 minutes so that you save can be used for other complicated sections.
Similarly, solving previous years’ papers is important too. Candidates can download these here: CLAT 2023 Previous Years’ Papers PDF Download
4. Mark the answers continuously
It is not very wise to solve the question paper first and then mark all the questions. As you solve a question, mark it. Otherwise, if any solved question is left unmarked, those are lost marks. It is also possible that in haste, the bubbles might not be properly darkened, thus it can be missed while checking the question paper.
