CLAT 2023 Analysis: The Consortium of NLUs conducted CLAT UG 2023 today, December 18, 2022. The examination was held for an aggregate of 150 marks and for a duration of 120 minutes, thus making CLAT UG one of the toughest law entrance examinations. CLAT 2023 was a centre-based test conducted in pen-and-paper mode.

CLAT 2023 Exam Analysis: Major Highlights (First Reaction)

Here are the major highlights of the CLAT 2023 exam analysis -

  • The paper was lengthy
  • The expected average number of good attempts is 80-82
  • The difficulty level of the question was 'moderate' as per a few students
  • Almost 7 students confirmed that the GK section in the exam was difficult
  • According to a few students, the Logical section was moderately difficult
  • Legal section was easy
  • The paper was lengthy and time-consuming specifically the English section where reading consumed a lot of time
  • As per a few students, the paper was as per expectations and there were no unexpected surprises
  • Overall, GK (Current affairs) related questions were difficult for most of the students
  • Vocabulary from the English section was a bit tough whereas Comprehension related questions were easy

CLAT question paper consists of 5 sections with varying weightage. The consortium had given an approximate weightage for each section but the following exact weightage was observed in CLAT 2023 examination:

  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs: 35 questions

  • Legal Reasoning: 40 questions

  • Logical Reasoning: 30 questions

  • Quantitative Techniques: 15 questions
