CLAT 2024 Detailed English Language SyllabusCLAT 2024 English Language Syllabus: CLAT 2024 exam will be conducted on December 3, 2023 by the Consortium of NLUs in the country. The exam pattern will include around 30 MCQ questions from the English Language out of a total of 120 questions in the CLAT 2024 Question Paper. As exactly 30 days are left for the exam, the applicants must know where to drill in deep into each section. The English language will comprise 5-6 unseen passages where 4 to 5 questions will be asked from each passage. CLAT 2024 English Language Syllabus
The English language section in the upcoming examination will include around 4 to 5 unseen passages of 450 words each. All of the passages will be derived from fiction or non-fiction sources of historical significance.
It is expected that the level of grammar and vocabulary has been kept so that a student of 12th standard will be able to read the whole passage in 5 to 7 minutes
There is no specific set of passages and literature shared by the exam authority from which the passages will be chosen. However, the type of questions are anticipated
Argumentative statements based on viewpoints shared in the passage
Reading comprehension including filling the blanks and synonyms
Drawing inferences and conclusions from various paragraphs
CLAT 2024 English Language Preparation in Last One Month
As only 30 days are left, the students must follow a strict plan to prepare for each subject including English. Here are some important tips to follow in this one month:
Read and Comprehend the main gist of the whole passage as soon as you can in a maximum of 4 to 5 minutes
Note the tone and information being shared in each paragraph. It will help in solving the questions by directly referring to the specific paragraph if needed
Increase your vocabulary by reading more passages
Practice CLAT Previous Years’ sample papers only to manage your time
