NUALS, the authority that conducted CLAT 2018 exam has released the first seat allotment list after the Supreme Court refused to stay the same. The first seat allotment list as a part of CLAT 2018 counselling was out on Friday, June 08, 2018.
Last week, a bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan and Adarsh Kumar refused to stay the counselling. However, the bench clarified that any further steps in this regard would be subject to further orders of the apex court.
Steps to Check CLAT 2018 First Seat Allotment List:
- Visit the official website of CLAT.
- Click on the tab that indicates ‘Allotment’.
- A new page will open.
- Enter the ‘Registration Number’ and ‘Password’.
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- The seat allotment list/ status will flash on the screen.
CLAT exam was hit by various incidents pertaining to mismanagement and technical glitches this year. At many centres, students were made to stand for a long time, while in some centres students were forced to leave the exam hall before the completion of the exam. In some centres, the question paper appeared half an hour after the commencement of the exam.

Compared to 2017, CLAT 2018 cut-offs witnessed a marginal dip this year. Candidates who scored around 126-127 marks can expect a call from top three National Law Universities (NLUs) in the country. Candidates who clear prescribed cut-offs will have a chance to get a seat in colleges accepting CLAT 2018 score .
