CLAT 2019 (Common Law Admission Test) has undergone numerous changes and one of the significant changes with regard to CLAT 2019 exam is that the Consortium of National Law Universities has decided to conduct CLAT 2019 exam in offline mode (pen and paper-based exam). Over the last few years, CLAT was conducted in online mode. The decision regarding switching back to the offline exam is technical glitches in CLAT exam in recent years.
The Consortium of National Law Universities confirmed that CLAT would be conducted in offline mode until the number of candidates applying for CLAT exam increases or the admission to all law colleges in the country is based on CLAT score. As of now, CLAT 2019 will take place in offline mode which the aspirants must take note of.

CLAT is a popular national-level entrance exam for the admission in UG law courses offered by National Law Universities . Some of the popular law colleges and universities across the country accept CLAT score for UG law admissions.
The Consortium of National Law Universities has also decided that PG CLAT for LLM admissions would have a subjective part/ portion besides Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from next year. Executive Committee of CLAT will soon frame the syllabus for subjective part, and the same will be uploaded on the official website of CLAT.
In order to improve the quality of CLAT question paper, the exam authority will prepare a question bank. Subject experts from all NLUs and popular universities will be asked to contribute for CLAT question bank.

Depending on the number of CLAT applicants, the exam authority has planned to increase the number of test centres/ cities. CLAT Executive Committee will take the final decision in this regard.
