A new course has been introduced in India under the guidance of Columbia University and Trinity College Dublin. This is a dual BA programme that has been launched in Mumbai. The initiative taken is with a motive to transform the traditional system and opportunities related to the study abroad formula. It will provide and generate options to pursue undergraduate programmes covering the Arts Stream in the two engaged continents. Once the dual BA course of four-year term gets over, the students will become eligible for two degrees of Bachelor in Arts from both the involved institutions.
Adding to the occasion, the Country Adviser India at Trinity College Dublin, Nilanjana Shihn, said that, the Indian students have proven their calibre and talent in terms of both education and career spheres, to the world. The moment was a proud one for Nilanjana, as she also stated that the programme of providing dual degree and involving two continents was previously in action with New York universities and was marked to be successful.

Associate Dean for Special Projects and International Programs at the Columbia University School of General Studies, Jessica Sarles-Dinsick, also added to the eve stating her level of excitement for this new merger and initiative. She also stated that this degree is the first international dual degree partnership initiated for the undergraduate level with the Trinity College.

The dual degree between Columbia University and Trinity College Dublin will build a strong and long-term exchange of degree partnership between the two universities along with the prosperity of the already existing international dual degree plans running in the Columbia University School of General Studies.
