The consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) would be conducting its Post Graduate Entrance Test-2016 (PGET-2016) across the country, including Guwahati, on January 17. The exam would be held for nearly 600 institutional seats in medical, dental and engineering colleges in Karnataka.
This entrance test has so far been conducted only in Karnataka but now it would be held in 60 cities across the country that includes Guwahati and Shillong. The test would be an online computer based test. This would help the students as it would save their time and money in travel and accommodation in Karnataka.
The merit of the students would be tested in the exam through a fair, transparent and reliable testing procedure. The test would be for the academic session 2016-17. The member institutions of Karnataka Professional colleges Foundation and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association would select students on the basis of this exam.
The single session exam would have 180 multiple choice questions and would have separate tests for the 12 member Medical and 20 Dental colleges. The Education Rating and Assessment Foundation (ERA) would conduct the common platform for assessment of students test.
