IIM Ahmedabad has completed the summer placements process for the Class of 2017 with 375 students being placed across three clusters. Consulting sector makes maximum offers while BCG top recruiter with 19.
Around 110 firms participated in the placement process. The consulting sector was the most aggressive, making as many as 103 internship offers. Finance followed with 83 offers with online services at 50 and consumer goods (FMCG) at 42. 42. Around 15 of the internships were in international locations, said the CRISIL-audited report, prepared as per Indian Placement Reporting Standards.
The leading with offers each were Accenture Strategy, Aditya Birla Group, Flipkart, Amazon, Bain &Co, McKinsey & Co, Goldman Sachs and the Boston Consulting Group.
BCG made the maximum summer internship offers at 19 while in general management.
Aditya Birla was the top recruiter with 17 offers. In technology, Amazon made the maximum offers at 18; in global investment banking, it was Goldman Sachs with 11.
As many as 17 students opted out of summer placements to work on their own projects under the guidance and mentorship of CIIE (Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship)
