The 21st Batch of Dr Bhupen Hazarika Centre for Mass Communication was awarded certificates recently at an award ceremony conducted at Sudmersen Hall, Cotton College .

The award ceremony was chaired by Dr Nirada Devi, Principal of Cotton College, along with Dr Abhijit Bordoloi, Coordinator (Administration), Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), Dr Santanu Sarma, Coordinator (Academics), EDC, and other guests. Many well-known guests attended the ceremony. The Chief Guest of the function was eminent Indian theatre personality and Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Dulal Roy. Roy, in his speech, encouraged the students to work hard towards maintaining their ethics while working to carve out their niche in order to excel in their respective fields.

There also was an interactive session after certificate distribution, where the passed-out students as well as the present students raised their questions to Roy and shared views.

The ceremony released the lab journals of the college, Our Viewpoint and Amar Mot and the audio-visual journals Mirror and Dapoon. These journals are a work of the students of second semester of the prestigious college.
