Counselling of the Government Arts College (co-education) for graduation courses commenced on 30th May 2017 for the academic year 2016-17. The college has received about 6000 applications for all the ten courses that it offers.
Special team led by Principal, R. Dhanalakshmi will administer the counselling for the sports quota candidates and also for the students who had applied for the vocational courses.
The rank of the students as per the score obtained by them in plus two was displayed on the college notice board.
Counselling for Tamil and English was held on May 31 and will continue on 1st, 2nd and 7th June, 2016. The counselling of Government Arts College for Women, Hasthampatti will be held from June 1 to 7, as told by the Principal, Dr. S Manimozhi.
Special quota counselling for the Namakkal Kavignar Ramalingam Government Arts College for Women will be held on 1st June, for science subjects on 2nd June, and for arts subjects on 6th June. Round two of counselling for science subjects is scheduled on 9th June and arts courses on 13th June.

The counselling for the Arignar Anna Government Arts College , Namakkal town, is scheduled on 13th June for science subjects whereas the counselling for arts, B.Com, BBA courses will be held on 15th June, as per college sources.
Counselling for Thiruvalluvar Government Arts College , Rasipuram in Namakkal district will be held on 10th June for special quota candidates. Counselling for science subjects is scheduled on 13th June, commerce on 15th June, Tamil and English literature on 20th June, and other subjects on 22nd June.
