It is reported that Sean Gilsdorf, a medieval historian and Administrative Director and Lecturer on Medieval Studies will be teaching the course along with Richa Kirakosian, an assistant professor of German and the study of religion.
Game of Thrones nicely dramatises some of the fundamental things which are going on in the medieval courts. While reading some medieval verse epics, students feel that the verses resemble the show. However, it is the other way round. It is the duty of teachers and professors to use the interest of students in the show and encourage them to go deeper in the medieval history, religion, culture and literature.
Meanwhile, the seventh season of Game of Thrones will be released on July 16 in the US.
