KBN College , Vijayawada has been granted Center for Potential for Excellence status by UGC. On this occasion the college management conducted a press meet. College chairman, U Sambasiva Rao spoke with the media.
Addressing the media he said that, “The College has been granted CPE status after the thorough verification of various facilities, placement percentage and academic standards of the college. Under this the college will be granted an amount for Rs.1.5 Crore by UGC for the development of academic standards and increasing placement percentage. A total number of 32 colleges applied for CPE status in Andhra Pradesh and 13 colleges have been granted CPE status. The college has an exceptional infrastructure facility with well-equipped laboratories and good placement percentage. The college has been good at academics”.
He congratulated the college management and faculty for their efforts in developing academic standards. He also appreciated the college placement cell for their efforts in inviting various companies for campus placements. He appreciated the efforts of students in maintain a good pass percentage.
College principL Dr.Krishna Murthy said that, “KBN is the 4 th college in Vijayawada which got CPE status. It is due to the sincere efforts of college faculty and the support from college management”.
