CSAB Special Post Seat Allotment 2023 Options: After the Central Seat Allocation Board releases the seat allotment result for Round 1, there are five willingness options that deal with the acceptance or rejection of the allotted seat. The candidates must carefully exercise these options as per their preferences as once chosen, these options cannot be undone. However, for CSAB Special Round 2, there are two willingness options. All essential details regarding the post-allotment choice options for both counselling rounds are listed on this page. It is also important to be noted that all options must be exercised as per the given schedule only, otherwise, the candidate will lose the provisionally allotted seat.

Instructions to be followed after CSAB Special Round 1 Seat Allotment 2023
Following are the five willingness options as provided by CSAB and their implications in both Round 1 and the final Round 2:
FREEZE
- Selecting the Freeze option states that the candidate is completely satisfied with the seat allocation and is willing to confirm his/her admission at the allotted institute.
- Visiting the allotted institute and taking admission there is mandatory for Freeze candidates.
- Such candidates will not be considered for Special Round 2 participation even if they do not take admission. If admission is not taken within the specified time, the provisional allotment of the candidate will be cancelled and the seat will be treated as vacant for Round 2 allocation.
FLOAT
- The Float option shall be selected when the candidate is partially satisfied with the seat allocation and wishes to participate in CSAB Special Round 2.
- If a higher allocation is not made in Round 2, then such candidates will accept the current allocation and take admission there.
- If a higher allocation is made, Round 1 allocation will automatically be cancelled and the candidate will have no claim to it.
- In Float, all higher options as per the option form will be considered for allocation in Round 2, regardless of the institute-branch combinations.
SLIDE
- Through the Slide option, the candidate conveys that he/she is completely satisfied with the allotted institute but is partially satisfied with the branch allocation.
- For the higher allocation, only higher branches in the same institute as per the option form will be considered. Institute change will not happen.
- If a higher allocation is made, the same rules as Float are applicable and also if the allocation is not made.
SURRENDER
- By selecting Surrender, the candidate rejects the Round 1 allocation and only wishes to participate in Round 2.
- If a seat is allotted in Round 2, the candidate will have to take admission there and if not allotted, then the candidate will have no claim to his/her Round 1 allocation.
- All higher options regardless of institute-branch combinations will be considered for allocation in CSAB Special Round 2.
- The surrender option can only be exercised before the payment of institute admission fees.
WITHDRAWAL
- If the candidate is not satisfied with the current allocation and does not wish to participate in Round 2, then he/she may opt for the Withdrawal option.
- Such candidates will have no claim to any seat and will not be eligible for Round 2 participation.
- The withdrawal option too can only be exercised before the payment of institute admission fees.
EXIT option is also available at CSAB Special Round 1 for those who have not been allotted any seat and wish to exit the counselling process without Round 2 participation.
ROUND 2 Willingness Options
Only the options FREEZE and WITHDRAWAL will be available after CSAB Special Round 2 seat allotment 2023, whether a higher preference compared to that of Round 1 is allotted in Round 2 or not.
