CUCET 2022 will be completely based on the class 12th syllabus. According to M Jagadesh Kumar, the chairman of the University Grand Commission, UGC, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) would have no questions from class 11th. He further asserted that the entrance test may be conducted twice a year from the next academic session.

The UGC Chairman informed that the exam will neither give a push to “coaching culture” nor will it make board exams irrelevant. Kumar said that many varsities will still use the board exam results as the qualifying criteria and CUCET will not require any coaching. He also said that state board students will have no disadvantages and the entrance test will provide a level field to students hailing from different boards.
