CUCET 2022 will be held in 13 languages namely Odia, English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Kannada, Punjabi, Bengali and Gujarati. The exam is expected to be held in the first week of July in order to grant admission to UG level programmes of all 45 central universities.
According to the official notification released by the conducting body, the CUCET 2022 application form will be released in the first week of April, 2022. Only eligible candidates are required to register themselves for the exam. Numerous popular central universities like Delhi University , Jawahar Lal Nehru University , Banaras Hindu University etc. have decided to grant admission solely based on CUCET 2022 scores.
The conduct of CUET in multiple languages will help candidates from the vernacular medium. This practice is likely to be widely accepted since it will provide a level playing field to all the applicants. Candidates will be free to appear for the exam in any of the aforementioned 13 languages they are fluent in. It will not only introduce a sense of uniformity but also end any inequality based on the language barrier.

With the introduction of 13 languages in CUET, candidates will be able to understand questions better and answer more clearly. If provided with an opportunity to write the exam in their own language, they will be able to score much higher.
Conducting CUCET exam in regional languages will provide an opportunity for aspirants from rural areas or smaller towns to compete with candidates from urban areas (who are expected to be more fluent in English or Hindi). Not only this, the introduction of various languages in the exam will help in the much better evaluation and assessment of students.

CUET is a blend of subject domain and aptitude tests. Class 12th marks are no more a criterion for admission to UG courses of CUET participating institutes. It is likely to set students free from the stress of ever-rising cutoffs.
