CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is being conducted for both UG and PG admissions. As confirmed by the National Testing Agency (NTA), around 35 central universities will participate in seeking postgraduate admissions for 2022. However, some of the leading universities, such as the University of Delhi (DU), Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI), and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) have refused to consider CUET 2022 scores for PG admissions for the academic year 2022.
Most central universities of India will be accepting admissions for 2022 through the newly introduced CUET exams. Candidates must fill out the application form to appear for CUET 2022 and based on the scores of CUET 2022, universities will proceed with the admissions. Meanwhile, DU, JMI, and AMU will be conducting individual entrance tests for PG admissions for 2022-23, as previously followed.
Aligarh Muslim University, makes its stand clear, that the university will be conducting its common entrance test for PG admissions for this academic year 2022-23. The university will be considering admissions through CUET PG 2022 by the next academic year. The university will proceed with the admission process as planned. The AMU officials also clarified that the academic council will conduct a meeting for next year's admissions, for which dates have not been decided yet.
Vikas Gupta, Registrar, University of Delhi also expressed the same, that DU will proceed with the existing admission process and will consider CUET PG admissions from next year, as CUET is not mandatory for all universities. Similarly, Punjab University, Chandigarh also clarifies that the university will conduct PUCET 2022 for PG admissions 2022-23. The university will accept CUET PG scores from next year.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) announced last week that CUET 2022 will be held for admissions to postgraduate courses for 42 central universities. Also, UGC states that CUET PG is not mandatory for all universities, like CUET UG.

Finally, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Pondicherry University have agreed to accept CUET 2022 for admissions criteria for PG admissions 2022-23. The JNU states that all PG courses and Advanced Diploma Courses of Proficiency Programmes will be conducted through CUET scores only.
