CUET 2023: The exam date for CUET UG 2023 was announced by the NTA on December 16 at nta.ac.in. The official website of CUET, however, has not been updated. Soon after the release of CUET 2023 exam date, the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, tweeted about the change in the examination structure this year. It regards the increase in the upper limit of the choice of Domain-Specific subjects.
Last year when CUET UG was first introduced, out of the 27 available Domain-Specific subjects, candidates could only opt for a maximum of 4 subjects. This limit has been increased to 6 subjects this year, thus providing the candidates a greater opportunity for their university/course choices. How these increased choices would be implemented will be conveyed via the official notification as an increase in the number of subjects directly results in an increase in the duration of the examination.
Check out the tweet by UGC Chairman here:
The number of subjects and pattern of question papers will remain the same. A candidate can take as many as 6 Domain subjects in addition to one/ two languages and the General Test.
