CUET Admission Process 2023: Once the result for CUET UG 2023 is declared on July 15, 2023, the participating central universities will begin their counselling process soon after. For each university, the counselling website is different and their admission procedures will have minor differences. The gist of the counselling process that will be followed by all universities, its major highlights and other important instructions related to it are given on this page. It is to be noted that the counselling schedule for each university will be different and will be conveyed vis individual official notifications.

Various steps in the process for CUET admission 2023 are listed below and explained briefly:

1. Registration

• At the time of submission of CUET application form, the candidates had to enter their preferred institutes. It is only for those institutes that the candidates will be eligible for counselling.
• However, it does not mean the candidates do not have to apply separately for counselling.
• The counselling registration must be done as per the schedule released by the conducting university.

2. Document Verification

• A list of registered candidates will be published by the university and such candidates will have to get their documents verified.
• Whether the document verification will be conducted online or offline will be determined by the conducting university.

3. Merit List

• For the registered candidates, the universities will prepare a course-wise merit list.
• If the candidate has applied for more than one course, then he/she will have different ranks for the counselling of those courses, even if available under the same university. Each university and course will have a unique merit list.
• Based on this course-wise merit list, seat allocation for all rounds will take place.

4. Choice Filling

• In this step, candidates will have to enter their college and course preferences for determining the seat allocation.
• It is to be noted that this step may be conducted during the registration itself or the post merit list publication, depending on the individual university procedure.

5. Seat Allocation

• As per the courses and colleges preferences filled out by the candidates and their respective merit ranks, the seat allocation will be made and displayed on the counselling website.
• Depending on whether the candidate is satisfied with the seat or not, he/she can confirm their admission or participate in the next counselling round, if conducted by the university.
