• Odisha’s KalaJeera Rice Gets GI Tag for Quality and Promotion: Often regarded as the ‘Prince of Rice', the Kalajeera Rice of Odisha’s Koraput region has been provided GI (Geographical Indication) tag by Chennai situated Geographical Indication Registry for its distinct medical and healthy properties.

• Defense Minister to Inaugurate 90 Projects in Jammu and Kashmir: Union Minister of Defense, Rajnath Singh will be announcing 90 projects for infrastructure development in Jammu and Kashmir during the North Tech Symposium being organised in Jammu.

• Centre to Increase Additional 10% Tax on Diesel Vehicles: Union Minister of Road Transport, Nitin Gadkari stated that he is willing to increase an additional tax of 10% on all diesel vehicles and will soon send the proposal to the Finance Ministry.
