• CJI to Start Hearing on Pleas on Criminalising Marital Rape in Mid-October: Chief Justice of India has said that the apex court will start hearing on pleas on criminalising Marital Rape issues from the second week of next month.

• Supreme Court Stays on the Decision to Ban Firecrackers in Delhi: The Supreme Court has recently rejected all pleas on including Barium as an ingredient in firecrackers and asked Delhi Police to regulate the violations on bursting crackers in Delhi on Diwali.

• Congress Leaders Support Indian Government Against Canada: Dr Shashi Tharoor and Ravneet Singh Bittu, both MPs of Congress have backed the stand of the Indian government against Canadian allegation of involvement in Khalistani Supporter shootings.
