Daughter of auto rickshaw driver topped Class 12 through Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB). Farhana scored 99.72% marks in her class 12 board examination against all odds.
Despite the financial problems that her family faces, Farhana maintained her focus on studies and aced the examination. Her father makes Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 10,000 per month. Farhana aspires to become a doctor and her parents are anxious as their financial condition is not favourable.
With reports floating that NEET 2017 Gujarati medium paper was tougher than the English medium paper, Farhana’s mother Shamim Bavani said that they are not happy with happy with the system. She also said that there isn’t much hope that a fair result will be declared after normalising all the languages in which NEET was conducted.

Farhana’s parents were disappointed with the new NEET exam system as the difficulty level of different modes of the exam was not same. The said that their daughter has never considered any career other than becoming a doctor.

The disheartened parents are hoping that the results of both the mediums will be announced separately as that will give their daughter a fair chance of qualifying the NEET 2017 exam.
Farhana comes from Ahmedabad’s Raikhand area and has been a great student throughout her life. She performed well throughout her higher secondary education. She opted science as her subject for class 12 examination because she aspires to become a doctor.
Despite her parent’s guidance that she should consider other options, Farhana was sure about her course. Sharing her experience in the NEET 2017 exam, she said that there were some unnecessary rigid rules and that the Gujarati exam was more difficult than the English mode of exam.

She will be the first from her family to continue education after class 12 exams. Farhana will be the inspiration for many students who hail from poor family backgrounds and want to make it big in life.
