Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is going to apply for National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in five disciplines which include Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Arts/ Science/ Humanities/ Commerce and Law. The rankings are awarded by Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD). The institute did not apply for the rankings last year.
The DAVV Nodal Officer for NIRF is compiling the data required. He mentioned that the report has to be submitted by October 10, 2016. He said that the data would be published on the official website of the university for feedback and suggestions before submitting to NIRF. Positive suggestions and feedback will be taken into consideration.

DAVV is one of the best varsities in the state in terms of advance teaching and research. The varsity has been accredited ‘A’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The university is expecting a higher rank from MHRD.
The state government had awarded two excellence centres to the varsity and DAVV is doing well in the areas of research and advanced teaching. The institute will be assessed on five broad parameters which include graduation outcome, perception, professional practices, learning resources and research, outreach and inclusivity.

NIRF was launched in the year 2015 by MHRD. The primary objective of NIRF is to have indigenous rankings for the institutions across the country. The first rankings of NIRF were released in April 2016. The second rankings are expected to be published in the early months of 2017.
HRD Ministry directed all the VCs of various universities to upload the data on the NIRF website by October 10, 2016.
