NEET PG 2022: On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, the ABVP delegation met the Hon'ble Union Health Minister , Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, to discuss the postponement of the exam. A few days earlier, On May 13, the Supreme Court denied the plea seeking postponement and chose not to intervene in the issue, instead deferring the decision to postpone the exam to the concerned authority. This further caused restlessness amongst the students who still want the exam to be postponed for various concerning reasons.
Now as the ABVP delegation met with Shri Mansukh Mandaviya and health department officials, ABVP raised six important points in favour of postponing the medical entrance examination and as per the delegation, the ministry recognised them to be serious issues that need to be worked on.
"After this long discussion, a decision providing relief to the candidates is expected," the student organisation stated. "The ABVP also underlined the issues made by NEET PG 2022 aspirants and requested that the application form link be reopened for candidates whose allotted seats were annulled."

Dr. Virendra Solanki, National Convener of MeDe Vision, led the delegation and stated. "We are in contact with thousands of aspirants around the country, whose perspectives we shared with the Health Ministry. It is expected that a student-friendly solution would be developed as soon as possible because the exam is merely a few days away."
Furthermore, Nidhi Tripathi, National General Secretary of the ABVP, said. " We are certain that these reasons would pave the road for the decision which will aid the currently distressed students and their careers."
So taking into consideration the statements made by the ABVP, the response of the ministry to it, the free hand is given by the Supreme Court, the situation because of the Assam floods, and most importantly, the plight of the students, it is expected that the Union Health Ministry may take an action to address these issues although nothing concrete can be said about it as the exam is merely two days away and the admit cards have already been released. In this contrasting view, the postponement seems unlikely.
As of now, NEET PG 2022 is set to take place on May 21, 2022, and candidates are advised to prepare as per the same.
