Directorate of Training and Technical Education – Government of NCET of Delhi has cancelled Delhi CET 2020 , which is conducted for the admission in Diploma or Polytechnic courses . The exam notification was supposed to be out in June, and the same was delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic. With the current situation and an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in Delhi and NCR, the government decided to cancel the CET examination. Merit-Based Admissions for Polytechnic Courses in Delhi
Instead of the entrance exam, DTTE will conduct an online admission process for Polytechnic courses. The candidates will have to register for the online admission process by paying the prescribed application fee. After the conclusion of the application process, DTTE will release a merit list, which comprises the name of the candidate, registration number and merit position.
The merit position will be determined based on the marks scored by the candidates in Class 10 th exams. The official information on merit-based admissions and exam cancellation has been updated on the official website of Delhi CET.
The official notification for Delhi Polytechnic Admission 2020 will be released. The entire admission process including the certificate verification may take place online, and there will no physical verification of certificates.
Close to 50,000 students appear for the Delhi CET exam every year. Due to the Corona scare and considering student safety, the exam has been cancelled this year.
