The annual convocation ceremony of Delhi Technological University (DTU) was held in a grand manner on December 8, 2016. Lt Governor Najeeb Jung was the chief guest on the occasion. He addressed and awarded degrees to the students.
Speaking about the role of students in developing the country, he emphasised on the fact that students must support the nation in achieving newer heights and goals. The country needs bright students who can support the nation in achieving this objective.

On this occasion, a total number of 4,167 degrees were awarded to the graduates of B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA course students who passed during the academic session of 2015-16.
Similarly, a total number of 84 students were awarded gold medals. Some of the students were awarded prestigious Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal as well for their academic excellence. A total number of 28 students were awarded Ph.D. degrees. The candidates were also provided with academic gowns on hire during the convocation.
Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor of DTU, indicated that the students need not look for role models outside and be one themselves.

The convocation ceremony was held in a delightful manner where Prof. H.P Dikshit, Director General of School of Good Governance and Policy Analysis delivered the convocation address.
The varsity had in advance announced that the candidates who wish to receive degrees must register on official website from November 15 to December 8, 2016. However, the candidates who were unable to do so still have the chance to receive the degrees in absentia by December 15, 2016.
