The University of Delhi will organise 96th convocation ceremony on November 4, 2019. Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will deliver the convocation address. During the 96th convocation of DU, over 600 doctoral degrees, 300 medals and prizes, 60 DM and MCh degrees will be awarded.
According the sources, the colleges of the university have also been requested to webcast the convocation ceremony.

Highlights of DU 95th COnvocation Ceremony
Highlighting the achievements of DU in 2017-18, Mr. Yogesh Tyagi revealed that the varsity had set up ‘Institute of Cyber Security and Law’. The institute has successfully completed its first batch. Delhi University has been selected as one of the administrators of the LEAP (Leadership for Academicians Programme). LEAP is an innovative scheme that helps Indian varsities to train young minds in partnership with top-ranking universities across the globe, he added.
Giving more details about the other initiatives that are being undertaken by DU, Mr. Yogesh Tyagi said that the process of modernising and revision of PG courses was almost completed. The final draft of the syllabus will be ready soon, and the same will be tabled before the competent bodies for approval, he confirmed.

Some of the other important activities that are being initiated by DU are conducting a special drive to attract international students, a partnership with the German government for student exchange program, etc.
