After the formation of Delhi University’s Admission Committee, the authorities will finalise the admission guidelines . According to sources, the formation of Admission Committee and finalisation of admission guidelines will be completed by the last week of January 2018.
For the first time, the Vice Chancellor of DU is expected to explain the admission guidelines to the media even before the formulation. Dr. Yogesh Tyagi, VC of Delhi University will address the media soon and provide the details of admission guidelines for the academic year 2018-19. The same practice was prevalent earlier and it was discontinued during the tenure of previous VC, Mr. Dinesh Singh.

Dr. Yogesh Tyagi revealed that the varsity would soon form the Admission Committee and the procedure for the same is underway. According to the recent decision, Professor Maharaja Pandit will lead the Admission Committee. The other members of the committee will comprise of former members. The varsity is also planning to expand the committee further and more details on the same will be revealed soon, he informed.

The varsity has taken steps to eliminate the technical glitches in the online admission process . The admission process for the next session will begin on time and it will continue in a smooth manner. The varsity will also relook into the details pertaining to online entrance exam for the courses where admission is based on entrance test. It was varsity’s idea to introduce online entrance test in the previous academic session. However, the decision was rolled out due to some issues.
