Delhi University has announced admission to its School of Journalism. The application for the five-year journalism programme of the academic session 2017 has started from today, August 23, 2017.
Admissions to the programme will be done on the basis of a national-level entrance test conducted by Delhi University.

About the Programme:
- Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have secured at least 50% marks in their class 12 exam regardless of their stream (science, commerce or arts) can apply for the Delhi University’s Journalism entrance test.
- Exam Pattern: The exam will comprise current affairs, comprehension skills, analytical ability and general knowledge sections to test the students’ proficiency.
- Course Structure: The journalism course is an integrated programme with three years bachelor’s degree education and two years of master’s education. Students can choose to quit after three years with a bachelor’s degree and vacant seats can be taken by postgraduate aspirants through entrance exam.
Candidates will have to pay the registration fee in order to confirm their applications for the programme. The registration fee for general and OBC candidates is Rs. 500, whereas, SC and ST candidates will have to pay Rs. 250 for the same.

The entrance test will be conducted in English from 9 am to 11 am, whereas, the test in Hindi will be conducted from 2 pm to 4 pm on September 17. 60 candidates will be selected through each of the modes of the exam i.e. English and Hindi.
