The University of Delhi has invited proposals from the interested candidates who wish to write about the 100-year history of the varsity. The varsity came into existence in the year 1922 and is going to complete 100 years soon. The candidates who wish to take part in this noble initiative can register on the official website of Delhi University. July 15, 2017, is the deadline to submit the proposals.

According to an official statement of the varsity, Delhi University has been working with a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching. Within few years of its inception, the varsity had become a path setter and role model to other universities across the globe. The varsity has a rich academic tradition that attracted talented students. Students who completed their education in Delhi University have made significant contributions to the society. Today, DU is offering varied range of courses from UG to research programmes.

Delhi University has become a popular university across the globe. Various reputed colleges like Shri. Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), St. Stephen’s College , Hindu College and others affiliated to Delhi University. The varsity has produced various distinguished personalities. At least seven heads of state governments and two Nobel Laureates belong to Delhi University.
Distinguished personalities like Shri. Narendra Modi (PM of India), Rahul Gandhi, Naveen Patnaik, Sheila Dikshit and Arun Shourie are the alumni of Delhi University. Famous Bollywood personalities like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan were also a part of DU.
