A notification issued by the Dean of Law Faculty, Delhi University enraged the B.A LLB aspirants. The entrance examination for B.A LLB course at Delhi University is scheduled to take place on July 2, 2017. Just a week prior to it, the varsity has changed the test pattern of B.A LLB entrance examination. The students who have been preparing according to the old pattern of examination were disappointed with the varsity’s move. Few students were of the opinion that the varsity should have announced the changes in the test pattern well in advance and not at the end moment. Students now have only less than one week to prepare according to the new pattern.

Revised B.A LLB Entrance Exam Pattern: -
The question paper will have 100 multiple choice questions on: -
- English Comprehension
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs
- Reasoning & Analytical Abilities
- Aptitude
- Legal Awareness
Major Changes: -
- As per the old pattern, there were 175 questions for 200 marks.
- Among 175 questions, 50 questions used to be on Indian Constitution and Polity.
- As per the new pattern, the varsity scrapped questions on Indian Constitution & Polity.

One of the senior officials of the law faculty revealed that the varsity has been directed to follow uniform question paper pattern for all the entrance based courses. Therefore, the varsity was forced to make changes in the test pattern.
The decision of the varsity did not go well with a section of applicants. One of the students indicated that the varsity should have notified the revised test pattern much earlier. Students might face difficulty with reasoning and analytical ability questions in such a short notice.
Another aspirant pointed that Indian Constitution and Polity were the most scoring parts in the entrance examination. Scrapping these subjects is not judicial, as it will affect the score of the students. On the other hand, announcing new pattern at the last minute was not a wise step.
