For its upcoming sessions, Delhi University has begun the admission process for its Ph.D programmes recently. According to a published report of India Today, the university is offering the Doctor of Philosophy courses for specialisations and sub-specialisations under the Department of Anthropology. A total of 13 seats are available. The interested and eligible candidates may apply as per the format.
Eligibility criteria: The candidates must have a Master's degree from a recognised university or institute. Their qualifying degree should be in the subject in which the candidate chooses to pursue the Ph.D.
Application procedure: It could be access from the official website of Delhi University or can procure those from the Faculty of Science, DU. They are required to submit the duly filled form along with all required documents to the concerned department.
Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written exam and an interview round. Those who have a fellowship qualification (IGC, CSIR, DBT, DST etc.) are exempted from the exam and are eligible to appear directly for the interview round. The exam will be for a duration of two hours and will carry 60 marks, it will comprise of essay type questions. The candidates are required to attempt three essay questions in the exam.
Important dates: Last date for submitting applications is October 5. The entrance exam will be conducted on October 10, at 10 am.
