Deloitte Professional Services has decided to launch one of its global initiative- World-class in India. This initiative of Deloitte will support more than 10 million women and girls through education and skill development until the year 2030. The global initiative will make the women and the girls of the country independent as they will be equipped with employable skills.
The WorldClass Programme of Deloitte will primarily focus on improving girls’ education in the country by increasing the number of girl students in school and by starting skill development course to increase the employability of women. For setting up the World-class initiative, Deloitte will collaborate with many organisations such as Pratham and Katha.
The Deloitte World Class initiative aims to prepare over 50 million people globally towards a better future and equip them with employable skills for future work in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

As per the records, over 40% of the girls in India between the age of 15 to 18 years drop out of school and higher education institutes due to various reasons, and only 26% of the women in India are employed.

Deloitte Global CEO Punit Renjen said their goal is to empower over 50 million people around the world by the year 2030. The target will be achieved by providing them access to skills, training and education which will ultimately help them bag jobs. According to him, the world has gone through a significant change with the coming up of the Industry 4.0 wave and to achieve the same we all must work together.
