Directorate of Medical Education and Research i.e. DMER has released their official brochure for admission to health science programme in Maharashtra this year. Admission to the BDS and MBBS courses will be on the basis of candidates' score in the NEET exam. Other courses whose admission will be on the basis of NEET merit list are BAMS, BHMS, BASLP, BP&, BSc (Nursing), BPTh, BOTh among others. The admission to all health science programmes will be administered by the Commissioner of the State CET Cell of Mumbai.
Directorate of Medical Education and Research supervises 42 medical, dental institutions, health centres units, and teaching hospitals in Maharashtra. It also promotes research related projects in the field of medicine, health sciences etc.

The CELL will prepare the provisional merit list on the basis of the information submitted by candidates during the online application process. The official dates for DMER registration will be declared only after NEET UG 2018 results are announced. However, the list of selected candidates for the first round will be released on 5th July 2018.

For admission to BDS and MBBS programmes, candidates belonging to general category must have a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together at NEET UG-2018. Whereas reserved category candidates must secure 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and the minimum pass percentage for a person with disabilities is 45%.
