Option Entry for Karnataka MBBS 2021 Counselling
The verification slip will have a High-Security Secret Key. This Key will help the candidates to create a login Id and password for accessing the Option Entry. Option Entry is nothing but filling the preference of college and stream in which the candidate wished to take the admission. The Karnataka MBBS 2021 Merit List will be prepared according to the NEET UG 2021 Rank of the candidate and the preference of medical institution that is filled in Option Entry.

The candidates will be allowed to practice option entry when they have qualified in the document verification round. Here are some important points that candidates shall consider while filling Option Entry: -
- Candidates shall fill the option entry for both Medical and Dental at once.
- The candidate should select MBBS discipline in the option entry form. It will reflect the list of all medical colleges in Karnataka.
- The candidate shall fill the priority number against the name of the college so displayed.
- The candidates may mix and match the priority of colleges among medical and dental colleges. It means “first option may be Medical, the second option may also be Medical, the third option may be Dental, the fourth one may be again Medical, the fifth option can be Dental, the sixth may be Medical again and so on.”
- The candidate may fill in as many preferences as they want.
- The option entry for the first round will be considered for the second round of seat allotment as well.
- The option entry is a one-time process and candidates are not allowed to exercise option entry for the second time in the Second Round of Karnataka MBBS 2021 Counselling.
- The candidates may alter the priority of the institution for the subsequent round, but they cannot remove or add a new institution.
- The candidates will be given a chance to review and later the option entry after the mock allotment.
- The KEA has advised students to practice choice filling at home before actually filling the options.
- The seat allotment will be done according to the NEET rank 2021 of the candidate and whether the candidate has claimed reservation.
