In the Indian higher education system, Doon University is classified as a State University.The university is under the jurisdiction of the state government of Uttarakhand. The Governor of the state is ex-officio Chancellor of the university and he appoints a Vice-chancellor (VC), who functions as a full-time Chief executive of the university.
The school offers Integrated MA and MA in mass communication. The school focuses on areas of mass communication- journalism, media studies, social and development communication, advertising, public relations, photography, radio, television, films, animation, graphic design, multi-media, media management and communication research. The campus placement is available for this course. The school has a total intake of 40 students both in MA and integrated MA.
Recently amidst all the social and political issues, we often fail to realise how beautiful our heritage is and how much it has offered us and when we are overloaded with complaints regarding the drawbacks of our country, some people are giving their best to preserve our heritage.
It is in this context that school of communication from Doon University organised an excursion to Hyderabad for the students of MA communication 4th semester.
The trip was, in essence, an educational tour. The trip was informative but at the same time, it was beguiling.
