Students from Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya Group of Institutions (DGI), Greater Noida bagged the SIAM's Award in the ongoing Auto Expo 2016 (The Motor Show). The institute participated in a packaging design competition organized by Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) held at IEML, Greater Noida on February 5, 2016

The Competitions was divided in 3 groups:
- Art
- Advertising
- Design Engineering
The idea by DGI students was amongst the top and the students were awarded with the certificates and the prize.
The Project Title was “Self Destructive Packaging Design for Anti-Counterfeiting” and the team members were Naveen, Purohit, Rohit Kumar and Tapan Singh.
The students were congratulated by Dr.S.K.Bagga-Director and Prof.D.V.Bhise-HOD(Mechnical Engg.), Dronacharya Group of Institutions and they also wished the students very best for their future. Dr. Bagga also advised the students to take up these projects precisely.
Finally these three colleges were selected as the final winners
