DU admissions 2021 will most likely begin in mid-July. Unlike, previous year DU UG Admissions 2021 will most likely be conducted on the basis of the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET).

According to the sources, DU Admissions 2021 will begin from mid-July and there may be a change in the admission process for UG courses. Unlike previous years, DU may conduct Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) to admit students to the UG courses. The change in the DU Admission Process for the 2021 academic year is likely to place as the class 12 board exams have been cancelled due to the second wave of COVID.

Delhi University Vice-Chancellor PC Joshi informed that the university will make changes to its admission process to the extraordinary situation without compromising on merit, and added that the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) can be a good method for admitting students. Education Ministry is yet to give a final decision on the CUCET for DU Admissions 2021.

DU Admissions 2021 Expected Changes

As the board exams have been cancelled, there are high chances that DU may make changes to the admission process. Some of the expected changes are as follows:

Following the cancellation of Class 12 board examinations by CBSE, CISCE and most state boards in view of the ongoing COVID, there are chances that DU Admissions 2021 will be done on the basis of CUCET.
Delhi University will adjust its admission process to the extraordinary situation without compromising on merit.
If CUCET 2021 is not held then the university will follow the traditional merit process. The merit list for DU Admission 2021 will be prepared once the class 12 boards are out.

Every year, the colleges affiliated with Delhi University declare a cut-off list for admission to Arts and Commerce and Science, and the students meeting the cut-off apply to the respective colleges. The cut-off marks are the percentage marks secured by the candidates in the Class 12th board exams.
