Delhi University first cut-off 2016 has changed past year's trend. Highest cut-off doesn’t touch the mark of 100% this year. Ramjas College is at the top of the list with the highest score of 99.25% required to get admission into its B.Com (Hons.) programme. SGTB Khalsa College is close behind with 99% marks required to get a seat in its BSc (Hons.) in Electronics.

Although the cutoff didn’t go as high as 100%, there has been a rise as compared to 2015. The cut-off for B.Com (Hons.) was 97.75% in 2015 whereas SGTB Khalsa College opened admissions to their B.Sc in Electronics programme at 96.33%.
Cut-off requirements for various programmes offered by SGBT Khalsa College has increased in 2016. The cut-off for English Honours rose from 96.5 to 98.75%, 95 to 97.25% for History Honours and 96.5 to 98.5 for B.Com. BA honours in Punjabi offered at Khalsa College has seen a drastic rise in 2016 with 95% marks required for admission as compared to 85% in 2015.

Cut-off for Economics (Hons.) offered by Shri Ram College of Commerce remains same as 2015 at 98.25% whereas B.Com (Hons.) cut-off rose from 97.37% to 98% in 2016. English Honours at SRCC remained at 98.25. The cut-off for Economic Honours at Hansraj College remains unchained in 2016 with 98% marks.

Although science cut-off has gone high at Ramjas College, the cutoff for various other colleges for science subjects has remained the same. The cut-off for Hindu College has remained the same as 2015 with chemistry at 97.33%, mathematics at 97.5%, and physics at 98%. There has been a drop of 0.33% in Physics cut-off for Hansraj College whereas Miranda House is at the same level as last year with 96.67% marks required for Physics Chemistry and Zoology.
This has come as a relief for CBSE students as the mathematics result for class 12 CBSE board wasn’t as good as expected.
The cut-off for Hindi also went high for colleges such as JDMC , Ramanujan , SGND Khalsa and Gargi College .

Admissions to various colleges of DU basis the first cut-off list will begin on June 30, i.e. today and will be concluded on July 2. Shortlisted candidates can complete the admission formalities within the scheduled time. Fees can be paid till noon, July 3. Delhi University will announce the second cutoff will be declared on July 5 at 9 am.
