Over 81,000 applicants registered online for admission to undergraduate courses of Delhi University, on the second day of application process on Thursday.
The online admission portal for admissions to Delhi University was implemented from the academic session 2016 where students from across India can apply to various colleges of DU. For the first time, the university has made the admission procedure a ‘completely online process’ for admission to UG courses. Until last year the applications use to come both online and offline.
Kirti Ranjan, OSD Admissions said, "The total number of applicants who completed their registered till 6 PM today is 81,524, of which 21,589 have made payments."
The online registration for DU started on Wednesday, 1st June. More than 39,000 students applied on the very first day of the registration.
Delhi University has also provided the centralized Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) forms on the website - www.du.ac.in. Payment for the registration will be done through internet banking.

Counselling sessions are also being conducted during ‘Open Days’ to answer all the admission related doubts of parents and students. An animated video has also been uploaded on YouTube by the University, describing the application procedure, including filling up of application forms and further process.
